Frank laid the foundation for his career by studying computer science with a minor in theoretical medicine, before working as a developer, specialist consultant, product and solution manager for various companies (Telenorma/Bosch Telekom, ITB, Agfa Healthcare, Deutsche Telekom Healthcare Solution, Cerner/Oracle). This led to a long career at the intersection of technology and healthcare. Frank focuses on the question of how complex IT systems can be interlinked so that medical data can e shared safely, quickly, and accurately where it’s needed for patient care, without losing their correct meaning. In the team, he also brings his decades of experience from national and international standardization bodies like HL7, IHE, ISO, CEN, and DIN. For him, it’s less about theoretical perfection and more about how communication standards can be improved so that they can be translated into practical, future-proof solutions for everyday clinical work.
