The “Open Medical Interference (OMI)” project has started! The Kick-Off meeting took place on July 27 and 28 in the showroom of the Institute for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine (IKIM) at the Universitätsklinikum Essen.

The project GeMTeX has officially started. The main goal of GeMTeX is to create a large annotated text collection of German medical texts from daily patient care. The plan is to collect documents from the electronic health records (ePA) of six university hospitals.

The project “Advancing Cardiovascular Risk Identification with Structured Clinical Documentation and Biosignal Derived Phenotype Synthesis (ACRIBIS)” has officially started. In the project, routine cardiological clinical documentation will be structured and standardized across locations.

The INTERPOLAR project, an use case of the Medical Informatics Initiative and follow-up to the POLAR use-case, has officially started! The DIC Team in Essen, as one of the particiating University Hospitals, is more than happy to be a part of it.
